Initiates, develops, directs and maintains trust and other fiduciary business relationships and oversees the administration of highly complex trust and other fiduciary accounts by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Markets trust services; prepares investment and business development presentations, and writes! proposals for presentation to management, bank customers, pot! ential clients, or governmental entities.

Represents the Trust Department in the community and maintains business relationships with customers, attorneys, and beneficiaries relating to the management of trust accounts.

Analyzes the needs of existing and potential customers considering account profitability and other related factors to market the appropriate bank products/services.

Administers highly complex trust and other fiduciary accounts and ensures compliance with enabling documents, department policies and procedures, applicable regulations, statutes and legal precedents.

Controls and coordinates the compilation of information required for fiduciary account and investment management; oversees tax planning and tax preparation.

Acts as a resource to Trust Manager in departmental planning and initiatives; assists with business development plans; may review and assist with development of Trust Department policies and procedures! .

Assists Trust Manager in the preparation of financial and regulatory reports required by law and the Board of Directors.

May perform the function of Portfolio Manager, calculating the maturity, duration, and performance of portfolios, comparing to established benchmarks, and presenting reports of portfolio performance upon request.

Calculates cash flow projections with regard to investment earnings.

Performs other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
May supervise employees. In the supervisory role, carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Trains employees; plans, assigns and directs work; addresses complaints; resolves problems, and may be requested to make hiring, evaluating, and terminating recommendations regarding employees.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job su! ccessfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty s! atisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in business, economics, accounting or finance and six years advanced trust experience; or twelve years progressively responsible trust, finance or investment experience; or equivalent combination of related education/training and experience required. Management and marketing skills required. Three years experience as a trust

officer, or law degree with three years as a practicing attorney, or Chartered Financial Analyst Certification preferred. MUST have extensive experience in investment management including fixed income, mutual funds, equities, etc. Requires strong experience with portfolio management. Must have track-record with relationship building and relationship management.

SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Familiarity with legal terminology and working knowledge of sound! fiduciary principles required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, management, clients, attorneys and accountants.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING SKILLS:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form and deal with several variables.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, and REGISTRATIONS:
Must posses! s and maintain a valid State of Alaska driver’s license and provide a! current copy of an Alaska Department of Motor Vehicles Report (MVR) evidencing a good driving record.
