Responsibilities:
The incumbent functions as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and provides treatment to Children and Adolescents, and their Families as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team primarily in the Child Family Assistance Center, located in the Department of Behavioral Health, Bassett Army Community Hospital, Ft Wainwright Alaska. Incumbent will provide comprehensive clinical therapy and aftercare planning to individual children, adolescents, dependents and Active Duty Service Members. There is strong emphasis on clinical case involvement with team collaboration. Actively participates in the treatment program by attending all treatment pl! anning conferences and staff meetings and supplying appropriat! e disciplinary information as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team. Develops and operates the therapy component of the treatment program in conjunction with the child psychiatrists, child psychologist and other providers as indicated. Provides primary case management and direct patient care. Coordinates with medical staff for assessment of physical disorders: and consultation for psychopharmacological evaluation and treatment of those patients for which the incumbent holds primary responsibility. Incumbent will provide the following specific services for patients: Comprehensive Patient and Family Assessment; Therapy to include individual therapy and family therapy, play therapy, interactive therapy, and/or other treatment modalities; On-going Collaboration with the Treatment Team; Group Therapy with Co-therapist (as available); and Multi-Family Group Therapy with Co-therapist (as indicated). (85%) On-Call: Participates in the On Call Emergency Room coverage as a! “First call” provider. Incumbent will respond to all Emergency Room Behavioral health consults to provide crisis intervention services and treatment planning. Cases requiring a higher level of care (ie hospitalization) will be coordinated by incumbent and staffed by a Physician. (10%) Participates in program planning and developing sound working relationships with local agencies and community resources. Responsible for coordination of care with representatives of other disciplines such as lawyers, teachers, nurses, psychologists who are concerned with the same family or individuals. Provides on-site clinical supervision of less experienced social workers. Participates in the clinical supervision/education of masters level social workers. Qualifications:
Must maintain current unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Work licensure. Must have a yearly manda! tory influenza immunization. Must have a child background check. May be! required to work on-cal and/or shift work. Must be a US citizen.
