ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises staff of at least one Unit within Special Credits Section; reviews and approves daily work, ensures a high quality of service to customers through coaching, mentoring, training and monitoring delegates; assigns work and directs workflow within the unit. Responds to customer complaints and takes corrective action when necessary.
Develops work-out plans negotiating with various parties to better secure the bank's position; works to prevent foreclosures and/or charge-offs by arranging and approving settlements, payment plans, and forbearance.
Coordinates and negotiates with various parties and customers to retain good working and customer relationships.
Reviews status of distressed loans and determines or reco! mmends foreclosure or other remedies to the Section Head.

Oversees the processing, preparation, advertising, and sale of various collateral owned, and reviews and approves documentation and oversees closing of sales including the collection of sale proceeds and the processing of ownership transfer from the bank to purchasing parties.
Monitors and manages debtor bankruptcy filings and represents the bank's and/or investor's interest by making appropriate collateral determinations, court appearances, and working with the bank's attorney.
Maintains awareness of all applicable regulatory changes to evaluate impact on delinquency procedures; participates with other industry personnel in adapting guidelines for delinquency servicing, and implements procedural changes as required.
Performs other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages at least one Unit within Special Credits Section. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with! the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; interviewing and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving
problems; and making recommendations regarding the hiring and terminating of employees.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, real estate, or finance and three years collections experience or seven years collections, lending, loan servicing, or related experience, or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Two years supervisory or lead experience and one year collections ex! perience required.
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Word proce! ssing and spreadsheet software experience required. Ability to take direction and remain focused on a task, despite potential distractions. Ability to mobilize rapidly. Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, fractions, percentages, ratios, area, circumference, volume, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to apply concepts of basic a! lgebra and geometry.
REASONING SKILLS:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, and REGISTRATIONS:
Must possess and maintain a valid State of Alaska driver’s license and provide a current copy of an Alaska Department of Motor Vehicles Report (MVR) evidencing a good driving record.
