The incumbent of this position will be responsible for:
Creating templates for State Notices
Creating and sending out Initial and Reassessment denial notices
Updating the Nursing Facility Level of Care Unit org chart, Assessor Contact List, & schedulers’ list
Keeping track of the Nursing Facility Level of Care Unit Fair Hearings, including uploading any information belonging to said hearings into the DS3 database
Working with the Attorney General, as needed, regarding to 3rd Party notices, Fair Hearings, and/or State templates
Under the Material Improvement process working with Qualis, the State contractor for the 3rd Party Reviews; providers; and the Attorney General.
Other duties as assigned (setting up conference calls for Unit Manager), etc.
Keeping track if and ordering the Waiver and Personal Care Assistance pamphlets for the assessors
Conducting edit reviews on the 3rd Party notices before they are sent to Qualis
Scheduling staff meetings; keeping staff nurses updated on upcoming me! etings, requirements and policies.
Other duties as assigne! d (setting up conference calls for Unit Manager)
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college in biological, health or behavioral sciences; health practice; education; or public or business administration.
AND
One year of technical level experience performing or providing administrative support to health program planning, development, coordination, evaluation or implementation, technical health care assistance and consultation, health care utilization or quality assurance examination, health care service delivery, health education and/or health grants administration.
Examples of qualifying State of Alaska job classes are Public Health Nurse Aide, Psychiatric Nursing Assistant III, Licensed Practical Nurse, Pharmacy Technician and Social Services Associate II. Experience as a College Intern IV, Paralegal I or Administrative Assistant I is qualifying if the work was in support of a health program.
Substitut! ion:
Four years of clerical or technical level experience performing or providing administrative support to health program planning, development, coordination, evaluation or implementation, technical health care assistance and consultation, health care utilization or quality assurance examination, health care service delivery, health education and/or health grants administration will substitute for the bachelor’s degree.
AND
One year of technical level experience performing or providing administrative support to health program planning, development, coordination, evaluation or implementation, technical health care assistance and consultation, health care utilization or quality assurance examination, health care service delivery, health education and/or health grants administration.
OR
An associate’s degree from an accredited college in biological, health or behavioral science; health practice; education; or public or business administration and t! wo years of clerical or technical level experience performing or provid! ing administrative support to health program planning, development, coordination, evaluation or implementation, technical health care assistance and consultation, health care utilization or quality assurance examination, health care service delivery, health education and/or health grants administration will substitute for the bachelor’s degree.
AND
One year of technical level experience performing or providing administrative support to health program planning, development, coordination, evaluation or implementation, technical health care assistance and consultation, health care utilization or quality assurance examination, health care service delivery, health education and/or health grants administration.
