Maintains and enhances human resources for multiple restaurants and an administrative company by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations policies, programs and practices. This position is responsible for maintaining all HR, benefits, payroll and tax accounts and compliance.

Essential Functions

Manages the Payroll & Benefits Specialist, Admin Assistant and takes ownership of the department as a whole
Manages relationship with all HR vendor such as Paychex, Premera and Pension Plan Specialists
Creates and monitors HR budget items and ensure billing accuracy from vendors
Administers FMLA to ensure compliance
Conducts regular audits of all HR related Quickbooks accounts such as insurance and payroll clearing accounts
Audits quarterly 941 payroll records to Quickbooks for accurate financial record keeping
Manages all on-boarding procedures and practices. Constantly looks for way to improve and streamline
Maintains all employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits, such as health insurance and COBRA, paid time off, and 401k. Coordinates all open enrollment periods
Directs the process of benefit claims, obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids
Works to pro-actively educate the staff of HR and safety related issues
Maintains compliance of all PPACA required items such as 1095 reporting
Maintains the companies? WOTC program through HIREtech
Ensures all legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations when necessary, and maintaining records
Maintains all staff and management policies, procedures handbooks, and employment documents
Maintains business performance metrics relevant to human resources such as turnover and retention rate, and report on a quarterly basis
Works with company attorney for any DOL or State investigation and audits
Maintains work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions in the office and at the restaurants
Maintains recruiting, interviewing, and evaluation programs as well as training managers on candidate selection
Maintains all personnel files and coordinates regular audits to ensure accuracy
Available to managers for policy guidance and review such as disciplinary action
Maintains all business insurance contracts including general liability and workers? compensation, files claims, reports loss runs, and obtaining and evaluating renewals
Processes yearly reporting requirements such as OSHA 300 logs and reporting unclaimed wages to the State
Maintains relationship with restaurants to ensure legal and HR compliance are being followed
Other duties as assigned

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, salaried position requiring a minimum of 45 hours per week during normal business hours. Preferred Education and Experience
1. High School Diploma or GED
2. At least 5 years professional experience in human resources management, preferably in restaurants.
3. Human resources degree (4-year) preferred
4. PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred
5. Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, HRIS, Quickbooks, and Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Drive).
Physical Requirements
The employee is required to sit for extended periods of time at desk and may occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
