Human Resources Manager [Hungary]


 

Exciting Opportunity for a Human Resources Manager!
We are inviting you to join Howden and become a trusted and valued member of our Human Resources Team, which is based in the Budapest Shared Service Centre. As a part of this vital team, you will have the opportunity to manage global and local HR initiatives, processes, and procedures with the aim of improving organizational performance. You will collaborate with the local leadership team to oversee recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, talent processes, performance management, and employee engagement as well as leading a small HR Team. This role offers a valuable opportunity for an experienced HR professional to shape and influence the future of the Human Resources function at the Howden Shared Service Centre, driving development, engagement, and motivation.
You will be responsible for:
  • Overseeing the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, target setting, evaluation, and career development, to support individual growth and development
  • Providing expert advice and act as a strategic partner to the local leadership team, offering full HR support and guidance
  • Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that align with the organization's overall business strategy
  • Providing coaching and guidance to managers on HR programs, legal compliance, performance management, and organizational development, to drive high performance
  • Managing all recruitment activities, including talent attraction and selection, to ensure the organization attracts top talent
  • Developing and managing HR systems and processes, such as performance management, succession planning, career development, and salary benchmarking, to support the organization's goals
  • Overseeing payroll-related activities with external providers and ensure adherence to all payroll processes
  • Designing and delivering training programs to improve the capability of the organization and support talent development
  • Driving employee engagement and improve internal communication to reduce attrition rates and increase employee satisfaction
  • Overseeing all compensation and benefits-related activities and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Maintaining legal compliance throughout all HR management processes
  • Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with LBUs and stakeholders, listening to their voice and expectations
  • Collaborating effectively with peers in the Shared Services Leadership Team to support the overall performance of shared services.
This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday. We offer hybrid working for this role which will allow you to enjoy the balance of home working and collaboration time with the team in our modern, friendly offices.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • College or University degree – preferably in the field of HR
  • At least 5 years relevant working experience in corporate HR (SSC background is a plus), with broad base expertise in all key HR disciplines and experience operating in a global organization
  • In-depth knowledge of labour law and HR best practices
  • Experience of leading a small team
  • Experience working with HRIS systems (ideally Workday)
  • Proactive, credible, and able to build relationships at all levels
  • Excellent consultative, problem solving and communication skills
  • To fit with the company culture, this individual should be approachable, positive and accessible
  • Excellent English skills verbal and written
  • Advanced competency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Project & Power Point.
