Bonds Secretary [South Africa]


 

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to attend to bond instructions from receipt of instruction to registration in the Deeds office and delivery of the title deeds to the financial institution;
  • Accurate and meticulous drafting of Bond documents;
  • Ability to communicate with clients and Attorneys on a professional level both verbally and written;
  • Preparing files accurately and according to detailed specifications
  • Drafting and checking of documents
  • FICA administration
  • Maintaining correspondence on file
  • Ability to calculate outstanding balance upon registration

Skills Required:

General understanding of the conveyancing process;
Ability to work in a process driven environment;
Ability to meet turn-around times in terms of the service level agreement;
Ability to work independently and under pressure;
Attention to detail and very meticulous;

Ability to handle high work volume

Must have the following:

Lexis Convey
E4 – advantageous
Microsoft Office Proficiency

Qualification/s:

  • Matric/National diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Legal secretary/paralegal/conveyancing qualification advantage
  • Secretarial Diploma (advantageous) with excellent typing skills
  • Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in conveyancing environment
  • Experience in FNB and ABSA bonds essential

Job Type: Full-time

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Pretoria, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Conveyancing Environment: 2 years (Required)
