Responsible for assisting in the provision of routine customer/owner supervision in a treatment or education environment. Responsible for the deliv! ery of mental health supportive services and other advocate services to customer/owner.
This is job progression, two levels, designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences to employees as part of the overall assessment of their ability and capability. Promotion between job levels is based on performance on prior assignments and the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.

Customer Care & Relationships:
1. Creates, develops, and nurtures culturally appropriate interactions and connections with each other, customer-owners, and the community.

8. Assists customer-owners by providing accurate information that meets the customers’ needs the first time.
Communications & Teamwork:
1. Shares and receives information, opinions, concerns, and feedback in a supportive manner.
2. Works collaboratively by building bridges, and creating rapport with team members within departments and across the organization.
3. Observes in the process of the development and implementation of customer treatment programs.
4. Observes the process of the treatment team and develop knowledge to provide pertinent information and recommendations.
5. Completes hand off communications that promote follow through and ! quality customer care.
6. Answers phones and directs calls to appropriate staff member or department. Takes messages as required. Determines which can be handled by staff members and which need management. Responds to non-technical questions regarding department.
7. Observes and learns how to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
Improvement & Innovation:
1. Makes meaningful improvement to services, program, and processes and/or organizational effectiveness that creates new value for customer-owners and employees.
2. Completes projects as outlined by the supervisor in a timely manner.
3. Researches information needed to complete projects.

4. Interacts with customer-owners and other members of the clinical treatment team in the department in a friendly, professional and courteous manner.
5. Provides accurate information to customer/owner’s that meets the customers’ needs the first time.
6. Participates in the development and implementation of customer/owner’s treatment programs.
Communication & Teamwork:
1. Participates in the development and implementation of customer treatment programs.
2. Participates in the treatment team to provide pertinent information and recommendations.
Improvement & Innovation:
1. Completes projects as outlined by the supervisor in a timely manner.
2. Researches topics as requested. Organizes and reports relevant information to appropriate clinical team members.
3. Accomplishes a variety of concurrent tasks on a day-to-day basis! and make appropriate decisions in performing duties independently to m! eet the needs and goals of the department.
Workforce Development Skills & Abilities:
1. Observes and obtains knowledge of customer/owner’s behaviors and implement the correct interventions as indicated on the customer/owner’s treatment plans.
2. Maintains appropriate professional boundaries and demonstrate the knowledge of appropriate disclosure as relates to the customer/owner’s treatment needs.
3. Completes tasks in a timely, organized and professional manner ensuring adequate follow-up.
4. Obtains knowledge of all programs licensing, credentialing, regulator, federal and state practices requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
SCF programs are established for the purpose of serving a primary population comprised of Alaska Natives who are affiliated with the Cook Inlet Region Inc. (CIRI), and Alaska Natives and American Indians within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understan! ding of the cultures and the needs of the CIRI members, and of the general culture and needs of Alaska Natives and American Indians. Such knowledge is critical in order to ensure the achievement of the mission and vision of SCF: working together with the Native community to provide the best services with Native staff who value the family and family wellness as the heart of the Native community.
1. High school diploma or GED
2. At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
3. Valid Alaska driver’s license.
4. No more than 3 moving traffic violations (as defined by Alaska Statutes Title 28) or 2 at-fault traffic accidents in the previous three (3) years.
5. Must not have had a ‘Driving Under the Influence’ (DUI) or ‘Driving While Intoxicated’ (DWI) violation in the past five (5) years.
Additional Qualifications for Mental Health Worker II: Meets all requirements of Mental Health Worker I in addition to the follow! ing:
1. One (1) year social service or related work experience! or demonstrated proficiency as a Mental Health Worker I at Southcentral Foundation.
