This is an interesting and rewarding job for someone who would like to! play a positive role in the criminal justice system.

We are looking for someone with an administrative background , who has a good work ethic , works well in a team environment , and has a positive attitude .

This position is responsible for the efficient management and operation of the office including the supervision of two other support staff.

We seek an individual who is a strong leader and effective manager and who is comfortable with a wide variety of administrative and organizational responsibilities and skills, including human resources, common office technologies, who is capable of working in a fast paced environment and able to adapt to changing priorities.

Some of the duties include, but are not limited to:
managing and overseeing the administrative functions of the office from equipment to support staff to paying invoices

providing advanced legal support for the attorneys

providing assistance to w! itnesses

performing accurate data entry

prep! aring and proofreading legal documents

communicating with outside agencies and individuals to perform these duties

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or the equivalent;
AND
Six months of experience performing work that required keyboarding skills, proficiency in the use of office information technology and oral and written communication;
AND
Six months of experience formatting and editing documents, forms, reports or similar materials and explaining procedural requirements and processes to others.

Special Note:
The required experience may be earned concurrently.

“High School Equivalent” includes a G.E.D., or completion of any basic education course of 480 class hours (16 weeks at 30 hours per week), or six months of work experience performing duties related to the job class, or twelve months of work experience involving some routine tasks related to the job in question or highest grade of! school completed plus amount of work experience which totals 12 years.

Most positions require incumbents to be able to obtain a Notary Public Bond and to be able to pass a criminal background check to meet security requirements for using criminal record networks such as APSIN and NCIC/NLETS. If this requirement is present, it will be stated in the vacancy announcement.

Some positions are required to regularly work overtime on weekends and/or holidays to provide support to the assigned duty attorney. If this requirement is present, it will be stated in the vacancy announcement and in the Position Description.
